Career Help after Graduation
NetSoft’s many services enable graduates to quickly find a “dream” job. NetSoft graduates can continue to utilize the any resources associated with NetSoft’s Employability and Careers Service Center for up to three years. Each month NetSoft attempts to help graduates find an employer who will whisper the magic words, “You’re hired!” NetSoft’s career counselors offer more networking opportunities for job-hunting students. NetSoft also encourages students to focus on smaller companies that they may not have considered without NetSoft’s guidance.
Network with Alumni
Graduation for many students equates to shell shock. Some encounter fear and fatigue. Many students grapple with determining effective ways to begin life after training. How can alumni jumpstart their career and work towards financial stability? How can alumni use the newly acquired skills in the “real world”? NetSoft understands that networking, one common thread, weaves a connection for all students. Graduates can access NetSoft’s online alumni directory, which lists all alumni willing to help recent graduates get started in their careers.
Networking
Graduates can use a number of job searching techniques, but NetSoft believes that no technique surpasses understanding the value of networking. NetSoft encourages its graduates to create a network while searching for a job. Most people will find their first job through a personal connection.
NetSoft helps students build a network of professionals who work in similar fields. When interacting with these professionals, students sometimes connect to organizations that offer new fields of interest. Building a network presents challenges. NetSoft suggests that graduates begin with local meetings and organizations and at least one connection outside the institute. When you interact with one professional, all of their contacts become yours. That one person may have up to 250 contacts. Even though some of your contacts may not pertain specifically to your field of interest, they may be able to initiate a meeting with someone who does.
Interview Preparation
We also offer in-house interview preparation. The interview preparation will require from 40-50 hours with our consultants. The interview preparation sessions will run only three times each year. We advise students to register in advance. Students should maintain close contact with the instructor to ensure that the student registers for the free interview preparation session. Interview preparation sessions are only offered to students taking courses with NetSoft.
Free Seminars
NetSoft offer seminars free of charge. Seminars cover a variety of industry focused topics and allow students to stay abreast of the constant and consistently changing technological evolutions.
Discount Vouchers
Occasionally NetSoft will offer several $500 discount vouchers to students. These vouchers can be used for upcoming trainings. These vouchers are only redeemable at NetSoft. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure that the vouchers are redeemed before the expiration date.
Resume Writing (Also known as “CV Surgery”)
NetSoft offers numerous resume writing workshops (free of cost). Students learn how to create professional and effective resumes. NetSoft also “polishes” student resumes. Highly skilled consultants assist with resume design and development. Generally, each resume requires an estimated 10-15 hours of preparation. Consultants could charge as much as $125 per hour or about $1,250 for resume preparation, but NetSoft covers all charges for its students for this service.
Free Hands-On Trainings
Each quarter, NetSoft offers a wide variety of free hands-on trainings to its students quarterly. Even after graduation, students can enroll in these free trainings. Currently enrolled students receive preference for training slots. Former students can attend only if seats are available.
Recruiter List
NetSoft maintains a list of 4,500 recruiting agencies in Canada. This list greatly benefits NetSoft’s students. The contact list will aid students during the job hunting process. It helps students extend their network and allows them to introduce themselves to thousands of recruiters in Canada. NetSoft also maintains a list of 10,000 recruiters in Europe. This list particularly benefits students who are open to travel and would like to enhance their overseas. NetSoft will offer this list to all existing and previous students without reservation.
Financial Support
NetSoft has connection with some banks. If needed, NetSoft can recommend bankers who can assist students with loans for tuition fees. Most loans will be arranged as lines of credit. NetSoft does not control applicable bank fees or interest charges. The interest rate varies from bank to bank and students are responsible to negotiate their interest charges. NetSoft encourages students to shop around and compare charges prior to making a commitment to any bank or taking a loan for professional education. Additionally, NetSoft and all staff will not be responsible for any loan mismanagement.
